Note: This story deals with some heavier themes like eating disorders, dysphoria, self-harm, domestic violence, sexual trauma, and drug and alcohol abuse. Additionally, 2013 was a less accepting time for trans people than currently [2024], and later into this fic there is an incident of transphobia which may be triggering, though it is not the main focus of this story and does not come from the main characters. So while this story is not all gloom and doom, it nonetheless is a little darker than my usual.
