After I had been sober for 40 days, my dreams came back in intense, 4k detail [I had mostly stopped dreaming when I was using] and my synaesthesia with listening to music began to come back as well. I don't just "see" colors, but if I close my eyes and let my mind wander, my mind's eye conjures up some pretty intense imagery. I decided to experiment with prompting AI generators with what I was "seeing" and this is as close as I will probably ever come to downloading stuff directly from my brain.
I am still in the process of uploading art here; 2024 has been A Year.
When I hit close to 90 days sober I listened to this album in its entirety one night in the hours before bed and realized the next day that the images told me a story, symbolism [to me personally] of learning to embrace the intense REM rebound and the gift of renewed creativity.
